Garden waste
When can I sign up?
The garden waste payments page for the service is now open and the charging scheme has been amended to include compensation payments for the service suspension and delays to collections in 2021. The council apologises for the disruption.
When do garden waste collections start?
Garden waste will be collected from Monday 21 February 2022 and finish on Friday 25 November 2022.

Transport to Covid-19 vaccination appointments
If you're a Derbyshire resident struggling to get to your COVID-19 vaccination appointment then you can now book a free return journey to help you attend.
If you don't have your own transport, and you can't use public transport, then Derbyshire County Council's Active Travel team can help you with door to door transport to and from your vaccination appointment.

Police & Crime Commissioner, Angelique Foster, is consulting on proposals for the policing part of the Council Tax precept for 2022/23.
The survey aims to understand the amount of Council Tax that is contributed from residents towards policing for 2022/23. Responses can be submitted online and the survey will close on Sunday 16th January 2022.
Please kindly forward the survey to any local contacts you may have to ensure responses are received from residents throughout Derbyshire.

New financial support available for households facing hardship this winter
A new scheme to provide financial support to households facing financial hardship is now available.
The £5.4m Household Support Fund willcomplement the existing financial support measures available, including those from the Derbyshire Discretionary Fund.
The money has been provided to the county council by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
